Brendon's practice focuses on Commercial and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) legal work including acquisitions and divestments of companies and businesses, providing contracts for and advising on a broad range of commercial settings and relationships, corporations law issues and advice on broadcasting including legal due diligence and compliance matters.
A specialist in advising local and international clients on ICT, Brendon advises clients on legal issues around cloud computing, contractual arrangements with data centres, contracts relating to the establishment and delivery of cloud computing services including Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS), cross border data flow and disclosure issues, privacy, intellectual property relating to ICT, licensing, software development and maintenance contracts and website development and maintenance agreements.
Brendon acts for market leaders in the area of ICT where his clients provide services to large and listed enterprises, law firms, SME's and Government.
Brendon also advises a wide range of local corporations and businesses on corporate and commercial legal issues including broadcasters, motor vehicle distributors, local and international food and beverage distributors, nationwide franchisors, financial services providers, professional firms including liquidators and insolvency practitioners, pharmacists, surveyors and medical practitioners and the owners of an A-League Football club.
Brendon enjoys working closely with his clients' directors, managers, in-house corporate counsel as well as advising international law firms and their clients about legal issues relevant to their clients' operations in Australia.
Brendon is a member of the Commercial Law Association of Australia, Australian Law Council, Western Sydney Business Connection and is an active member of cloud computing groups, the Legal IT Network and Cloud Computing for Law Firms.
