Eugene Fung

Eugene practises in the areas of corporate finance, securities law, takeovers and merger and acquisitions.

Eugene has a wide range of industry experience including energy (particularly renewable energy) and resources projects, mining services, private equity, financial services, the credit union movement, pooled development funds, technology commercialisation, property development, franchising, and agribusiness. Eugene is experienced in international and cross border transactions and negotiations. In addition to this, he has expertise on renewable energy and climate change issues including the trading of green rights.

Eugene holds degrees in law and commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Finance and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has been a non-executive director of ASX listed Austin Engineering Ltd since 2004, which in that time has grown in market capitalisation from $12m to $300m. Austin was recognised by Forbes Asia in September 2010 in the Top 200 Asia-Pacific companies 'under a billion dollars'.

Eugene is recognised by his peers as one of the Best Lawyers in Australia (2013) in the areas of Commercial, Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions.
