Philip Byrnes

Philip has significant experience in providing specialist taxation advice and commercial advice to his clients.
 
Philip advises on M&A transactions, corporate governance, business structuring and reorganisation. He also has significant experience advising on Commonwealth and State taxation law, including income tax, CGT, GST, stamp duty, payroll tax and land tax, and on all aspects of superannuation and pensions. Philip is also experienced with financial and taxation arrangements and structuring for corporate and trust structures.

Philip's acts for  a wide variety of clients, including legal and accounting firms, private and listed companies, government entities, high net worth individuals and private equity funds.  He is a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia, a fellow of the Australian Society of CPAs and a member of the Taxation Consultative Committee (QLD). 

Philip is recognised by his peers as one of the Best Lawyers in Australia (2013) for commercial law.

He regularly presents at tax and corporate seminars and with discussion groups.
