John Martin

John’s experience covers a wide range of commercial transactions and advice work, with a particular emphasis on company law, taxes and competition aspects of trade practices, and the sale and purchase of businesses and companies.
He has more than 25 years’ experience in corporate law, and has been a Partner at Thomsons Lawyers since 1988.
John regularly assists clients with responses to Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) enquiries, and advises on the trade practices aspects of various commercial transactions. He has also advised on a number of employee equity schemes, and provides regular advice on the tax aspects of corporate restructures.
John is a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia, a Public Notary, and is accredited by the Law Society of New South Wales as a specialist in business law.
