Adam Pope

Adam joined Thomsons Lawyers as a partner in 2006, having previously worked in both New Zealand and in New South Wales. He has extensive experience representing clients in contractual disputes, misleading and deceptive conduct, fraud and misrepresentation disputes, Corporations Act matters, director, shareholder and joint venture disputes, securities enforcement and regulatory investigations.

A significant part of Adam’s practice is focused on the provision of strategic or risk management advice to the firm’s clients, and on the development and negotiation of commercial solutions to clients’ issues. He works closely with members of the firm’s Corporate & Commercial, Financial Services and Mergers & Acquisitions teams in this regard.

Adam has particular expertise in matters involving the financial services, information technology, advertising, logistics and FMCG industries. He practises mainly in state Supreme Courts and in the Federal Court, and also has wide experience in alternative dispute resolution, especially mediations, arbitrations, and expert and non-binding determinations.

He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association and the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand.
