David Lieberman

David is a consultant in our Corporate team. He has more than 35 years' experience in the legal profession, and particular expertise in the field of competition and consumer protection.
 
Prior to joining Thomsons, David was a full time Commissioner with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). He also spent more than 25 years in a variety of senior roles within IBM, both in Australia (where he was General Counsel) and overseas. In addition, he was Company Secretary, Director of Government and Community Relations, Director of Security Operations and Director and Deputy General Counsel of IBM’s Asia Pacific Operations based in Tokyo.
 
David holds a law degree from the University of Sydney and is admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales. He trained as a mediator at Harvard University and is a nationally accredited mediator.
