Alison Brookman
Special Counsel - Adelaide
Alison joined Thomsons Lawyers as a Special Counsel in 2008, and has more than 30 years of legal experience.
For the last 10 years, her practice has focused on environment and planning law, prior to which Alison gained more than 10 years experience in civil litigation.
Alison provides advice in all areas of environmental law, in particular native vegetation clearance, development and planning, water licensing, heritage, environmental compliance and enforcement and renewable energy developments. She also has substantial experience representing clients in the Environment Resources & Development Court.
Alison holds a law degree from Adelaide University and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Regional and Urban Planning from the University of South Australia.
Alison regularly lectures on environmental law as part of the Law Society’s Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) course.
