Sean O'Donnell

Sean is a skilled dispute resolution lawyer with many years experience resolving contract, property, Competition and Consumer Act and insolvency claims. He is a well known Sydney litigator and has a prominent national profile in the franchise sector.

Sean’s experience and skills enable him to effectively manage commercial disputes and complex litigation for the benefit of his clients. His broad experience also includes matters involving licensing and distribution disputes, insurance claims, building and construction disputes, contested estates, security enforcement and debt recovery.

Sean has extensive advocacy experience, including recently successfully defending a franchisor in a Federal Court class action. His franchise expertise has seen him be involved in many leading franchise cases. He is accredited as a mediator by LEADR and OFMA and has participated in numerous mediations and other alternative dispute resolution processes. His dispute and mediation experience allow him to work closely with his clients to develop effective strategies to proactively and effectively resolve disputes.

Sean is President of the NSW Chapter of the Franchise Council of Australia and a member of the National Board.  He is also a member of the FCA National Legal Committee.
